The 33 Movies We’re Most Looking forward to Seeing

“Fast X”

The family is back, bigger and wilder than ever.

Part 10 features new blood like Brie Larson and Rita Moreno, as well as Jason Statham as the villain. The core team of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster are also back.

The footage we’ve seen reveals even more insane CGI stunts and plenty of contemplative stares from Diesel.

The star also revealed at CinemaCon that “Fast X” will be a two-part movie, which will end the franchise. The second part will be released in 2025.

The Little Mermaid

This live-action retelling of a Disney classic is just one of several Disney films to get audiences excited this year.

The footage from CinemaCon definitely piqued our interest. We see Melissa McCarthy’s Ursula give an impressive performance of “Poor Unfortunate Soul.” It’s also very faithful to the original.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

In the “Spider-Man” footage, we see Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) build-up from the first film A deeper connection.

There’s also production on “Spider Society,” thanks to Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac).

The animation is amazing again.

“Wanderer”

Another comedy that’s sure to find an audience is Will Ferrell’s voiceover of a cute dog (Will Forte) who’s been abandoned by his owner.

Now the dog wants revenge.

Jamie Foxx, Randall Parker and Isla Fisher also voice the canine characters.

Transformers: Rise of the Beast

Set in the mid-1990s in the aftermath of the events of “Bumblebee,” the latest chapter in the “Transformers” series stars Anthony Ramos and Dominic Fishback as Brooklyn archaeologists who discover the series’ Beasts: Maximus, Predator and Horror.

We have to admit, the footage shown looks pretty impressive.

“element”

Disney/Pixar

Watching the first 20 minutes of Pixar’s latest film, we get all the feeling as this love story delves into tolerance and family.

In a city made of natural elements such as water, air and land, there is also an abandoned fire.

Ember (Lea Lewis), Made of Fire, helps her family run a convenience store. She was always told to stay out of the water.

But when Wade (Mamudu Assi), made of water, unexpectedly enters her life, the two form a bond that will shake their lives.

Pixar has done it again!

“flash”

Watching the entire movie at CinemaCon, we can say that while the movie isn’t the best superhero movie ever made – as some have claimed  – it’s still a strong piece.

With its time-travel vibe, bringing back different versions of Batman (and The Flash), and relying heavily on nostalgia, the movie also injects freshness into the genre.

“No hard feelings”

Jennifer Lawrence’s footage in this quirky comedy has us convinced it’s going to be a hit.

Desperate for cash, Lawrence’s character agrees to be hired by a group of parents to date their awkward teenage son.

This movie is wrong, for all the right reasons, and leads to a lot of laughs.

“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate”

We see one of the many (we imagined) thrilling chase scenes in the movie.

Featuring Dr. Jones (Harrison Ford) and co-stars played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen, we see that they all want that for some reason dial.

There’s a lot of excitement in the chase, which tops John Williams’ perfect score.

“Journey of Joy”

Get ready for summer’s sleepy comedy.

Due to its super hard-R vibe, this group of friends who are pioneering in China leaves the perspective of sex, drugs and tears must be watched. (Trust us, we’ve seen the entire movie.

Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu and Sabrina Wu are all great.

“Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1”

We saw a 20-minute segment of the next “M:I,” and it didn’t disappoint.

With Tom Cruise and co-star Hayley Atwell fleeing the police on a high-speed chase and a maniac driving a Hummer through the streets of Rome (at one point the two were in a tiny Fiat), it seems the franchise still isn’t working Ways to get us excited.

“Barbie”

This one will be special.

Greta Gerwig’s unique take on one of the most beloved IPs of all time was hyped as this summer’s box office hit, and the footage basically backs it up.

Margot Robbie’s Barbie lives a perfect life until she’s forced to experience the real world, with Ken (Ryan Gosling) by her side.

The two embark on a journey of self-discovery and laughter.

“Oppenheimer”

On the same day that Barbie was released, another much-hyped movie hit theaters.

Christopher Nolan’s latest star Cillian Murphy plays J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb.

The film tells the story of Oppenheimer and his team secretly developing a weapon that could destroy humanity.

The footage we saw made us shudder.

“The Meg 2: The Trench”

With director Ben Wheatley (“Tall Buildings,” “Liberty Fire”) at the helm of this sequel, get ready for more wacky gore and action as Statham once again takes on a giant shark.

We’re impressed with the latest project from Seth Rogen and his producing partner Evan Goldberg, the pair giving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a boost .

With teens voicing the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and using animation with a more comic book feel than the “Spider-Man” movies, we’re very excited for this animated film to come.

“Sports Car Romance”

Of all the footage on display, the CinemaCon audience received one of the biggest applause for the adaptation of the hit video game that could be a blockbuster this summer.

In the movie, we follow Jayne (Archie Madqui), who loves to play Roadster, and puts his skills to the test as he races to become a real racer.

David Harbor stars as Jann’s real-life racing instructor, while Orlando Bloom plays the marketing executive who came up with the whole idea.

This new take on DC Comics looks at how a teen named Jamie (Xolo Maridueña) accidentally gains superpowers thanks to an exoskeleton called the Blue Beetle.

This one doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously, as it has a lot of laughs and a sense of growing up.

He came to CinemaCon with producer Jason Blum to reveal the first footage of their reboot of The Exorcist.

The film features the return of Ellen Burstyn from the original 1973 film and two teenage girls who are possessed by demons.

Insider caught up with Green after showing the footage. He told us that he recently sent the studio his director’s cut, which is scarier than the “Halloween” movie.

Yes, we see Hugh Grant as Oompa-Loompa .

In the first trailer for the film, this is definitely the most striking aspect of the footage shown, but we also have to notice that there is a tenderness to the film.

This won’t be Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka, whom Timothée Chalamet seems to be playing with more wide-eyed wonderment.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

This new retelling of the acclaimed novel has more to do with the 2005 musical than the 1985 Steven Spielberg film.

Produced by Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones and Spielberg, the film focuses on three women — played by Fantasia, Taraji P. Henson and Danielle Brooks — —they all approach the lives of black women in the South in the 1900s in different ways.

The music and production design look excellent.
