Audiences felt the sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts left a lot to be desired.
Many fans felt they didn’t care about the new characters introduced in the “Fantastic Beasts” universe, even though they really liked those from the “Harry Potter” films.
“I’m hopeful that The Crimes of Grindelwald will actually expand the Potter universe in a new and interesting way, but like its predecessor, it’s full of plot fluff,” Audience Reviewer Anna R. wrote . “A lot of the new information wasn’t that important or engaging. I found myself getting bored with these new characters and their stories.
“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005) didn’t wow fans like other movies.

Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series.
While some complained that it felt like a “plot,” or like a long “trailer” for the fifth film, others thought it did a good job of ushering in the final chapter of the series.

Five years after the “Harry Potter” series ended, the Potter universe reared its delightful head and gave us the spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Audiences weren’t quite sure what to make of the film. Some fans called it a “walk in a fantastical world”, but others felt that longtime Potter fans would be “overwhelmed by this expansion of the wizarding world”.

Audience response to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) was average.

By the time Chamber of Secrets came out in 2002, fans were already reading Goblet of Fire, so the film seemed to turn off some older viewers of the series.
However, other fans considered the film to be a solid adaptation of the book .

However, many fans felt that Order of the Phoenix was more of a transitional moment for the franchise.

According to viewers, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (2001) was a good start for a series.

The first film received rave reviews when it premiered, largely because of its faithful retelling of JK Rowling’s source material.
“The Sorcerer’s Stone” will forever be remembered by many fans as the beginning of an unforgettable series.

Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secret (2022) is the most popular of the prequel series.

Although fans didn’t like the second installment in the Fantastic Beasts series, Dumbledore’s Secret won them over. The film follows the conflict between a young Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) and the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen).
Audience critic Ruben A. wrote: “Best movie in the saga so far, what a magical trip they should go on and finish the saga.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1” (2010) delighted audiences.

“Deathly Hallows – Part 1 ” is the setup for the triumphant ending of “Part 2,” however, Yates manages to keep audiences entertained in what could be a very boring film.

Audiences raved about the introductions of new characters — such as Sirius Black — and said the film “finally moved beyond the childishness of the first two films.”

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011) was hailed by fans as the perfect final film.

It makes sense that the long-awaited finale will be the most popular of all the “Harry Potter” movies.
